Adjunct, Data Science


Position Description


The Mathematics Department at Seattle University is inviting applications for part-time adjunct faculty to teach graduate courses in data science. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching one or more of the department’s classes to support the Master of Science in Data Science degree. These courses typically meet once a week on a weekday afternoon or evening.  At least two hours of office hours per class, per week are typical.


Qualifications


The ideal candidate will have an PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field and teaching experience across multiple areas of Data Science is preferred.

Compensation at a Glance:

Salary Range: $1,100 - $1,300 per work unit

Seattle University has provided a compensation range that represents its good
faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of
posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based
on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental
budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available
market information, and not based on a candidate’s gender or any other
protected status.
