As an data analytics engineer, this position will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining data pipelines, data models, dashboards, and reports that support data-driven decision making across the organization. The data analytics engineer will collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, investment analysts, and operational stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide them with reliable, scalable, and user-friendly data solutions.

Responsibilities

    • Design, build, and optimize data pipelines using various data sources, tools, and frameworks (e.g., SQL, Python, Spark, etc.)
    • Develop and maintain data models and schemas that adhere to best practices and standards
    • Create and update dashboards and reports using visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
    • Perform data quality checks and troubleshoot data issues
    • Document data processes and workflows and provide technical support and guidance to data users
    • Research and evaluate new data technologies and trends and provide recommendations for improvement

Skills and Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, finance, statistics, or a related field
    • 4 - 6 years of relevant work experience as a data scientist, data analyst, business intelligence analyst, quantitative analyst, or a similar role
    • Strong experience in SQL and Python programming; proficient with Excel and at least one visualization software (Tableau preferred)
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and quality
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills
    • Experience in developing and maintaining data pipelines using workflow management tools (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Airflow, Synapse, etc.)
    • Experience in working with big data platforms and tools (e.g. Azure, Databricks, dbt, Spark, etc.)
    • Experience in creating and managing data models and schemas using data modeling tools
$130,000 - $160,000 a year
