Summary/Objective

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Marketing & Communications team with the implementation and evaluation of marketing and communication strategies, including brand management, marketing, and internal and external communications for Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County. The Marketing & Communications Coordinator focuses on managing project calendars and assessing marketing needs across Habitat Orlando & Osceola’s departments.

Essential Functions



  1. Help implement and evaluate a comprehensive marketing plan for Habitat Orlando & Osceola with specific focus on growing our social media channels, e-newsletter and websites

  2. Manage web presence, updating the websites ensuring that information is dynamic, current, and optimized while tracking metrics for monthly reporting

  3. Monitor and respond to comments on social media platforms and on Google to increase community engagement with our content

  4. Coordinate with vendors and printers to ensure quality and place and monitor orders

  5. Communicate with and facilitate work requests from other departments and work with our PR agency to manage projects and assist with scheduling

  6. Upload, share and manage assets in our digital asset manager to ensure best organization method

  7. Work collaboratively with colleagues and maintain strong relationships with external partners





  1. Simultaneously manage small, mid-size and large projects

  2. Maintain a deep understanding of Habitat Orlando & Osceola’s departments, partners and key initiatives

  3. Communicate regularly with the marketing team

  4. Create and deliver results/recap reports on content performance

  5. Ensure brand integrity

  4. Ability to function effectively with a minimum of daily direction and support

  5. Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (Asana or similar), digital asset manager (Canto or similar), and social management software (Loomly or similar). Salesforce or other CRM experience a plus.

  6. Experienced in website content management system like WordPress and drag-and-drop page builder like Divi.

  7. Ability to work on multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment

  8. Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds

  9. Ability to work autonomously and in collaborations with others, project manage

  10. Strong organizational and time management skills

  11. Familiarity with branding best practices

Work Environment

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, reach with hands/arms, listen, and communicate. The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 15 pounds on a necessary basis and will occasionally be required to stand and walk for extended periods of time consistent with a typical office environment.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, hourly position and the office hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some early mornings, evenings and weekends may be required.

Travel

Travel, if any, is primarily local during business hours and mileage is reimbursed.

   Required Education and Experience


Bachelor’s or associate degree in marketing, communications, business or related field or 2-3 years of experience in project and website management and administration.

 

Must obtain Anti-Money Laundering certificate within first 90 days: training provided by Habitat
