Mid-Sr. level UX Designer

About you:
As a self-sufficient generalist, you’ve got a great sense for which parts of
the design process to prioritize. As a UX designer, you love the challenge of
simplifying a complex data flow. You’re experienced at working in small,
cross-functional teams and enjoy learning from your colleagues. You thrive in
ambiguity, know when to ask for direction, and are ready to pivot as needed.
Requirements
The role:
Design at Verse is the sinew that connects users to the expertise we build into
Aria. It is a critical element of software that makes complex concepts and processes
accessible to non-experts, and this role will have huge impact on the design of
Aria and our team. Each day will be different, and you’ll be responsible for entire
workflows from start to finish. We work in Figma, so comfortability with that
tool is a must. You’ll work closely with the Head of Design, PM, and
engineering, taking our customer’s spreadsheet headaches and turning them into a
creative, intuitive workflow. More
specifically you’ll:

Create beautiful designs! Craft user experiences
that are intuitive!

Own entire design (UX, graphic, component
design) for an area of product functionality in an early stage SAAS company

Deliver high-fidelity designs and supporting design
documentation on a tight turnaround

Collaborate closely with teammates, at times
working in tandem, at times completely independent

Strong preference given to designers in the Bay
Area with willingness to come to the office 3days/week, but we are open to
consider remote candidates
Qualifications:
- 8+ years creating UX, some of that in small
companies

3+ years in a senior design role or with a
similar level of responsibility

Robust portfolio highlighting your skills, especially
desktop or web-based applications (any applications without a portfolio will
not be considered)

High level of Figma expertise and comfortability

Experience working in Agile environment

One or more of the following specializations gives
you an edge!

Prior work in the energy/renewable industry
- Building a design system from the ground up

Rapid prototyping

Wordpress development
- Motion graphic/component design
