Software Engineer

We are looking for full-time Software Engineers to join our Team of 100+ employees in San Diego, CA. In our collaborative and solution-based environment, you will build creative web services, applications, and databases with software experts. Our small-scale structure provides the flexibility and support needed to strengthen your skills while gaining dynamic hands-on experience with new technologies.

Our Software Engineers are responsible for all stages of the development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, installation, and providing support for live systems. Compensation: $87,000 - $110,000 annually, depending on relevant professional experience.

Position Classification and Schedule: Exempt, Full-time in San Diego, CA.

Target start date: September 2024

Position Summary:

We are seeking a candidate with two to four years of professional experience to join a dynamic team on a growing project. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should know containers, web maps, databases, and security architecture. Familiarity with Ansible, OpenShift, Docker, and Linux CLI is beneficial. You will utilize Python, Java, React, and Typescript at Moebius.

Qualified applicants will receive a Python technical assessment from Moebius to complete and submit for interview consideration via email.

Duties:

• Unit-level and system-level testing.
• Ability to navigate a code base to find a class with little guidance.
• Understanding of basic git commands and version control.
• Use Agile-based development techniques.
• Ability to perform “peer reviews.”
• Ability to design/update features based on client feedback.
• Develop capabilities and design code with “end user” needs in mind.
• Object-oriented design/development or functional design/development. 
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• To be considered for this position, the applicant must be a citizen of the United States and eligible to obtain a Security Clearance at the "Secret" level.
• Must be willing and able to work at the classified lab and attend meetings as required. 
• Will be required to obtain and maintain Security+ and Linux+ certifications. 
• Two to four years of professional experience developing software using Java, Python, React, and Typescript to create user interfaces.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Development, Engineering, Information Technology, etc., or similar technical-based disciplines.
• Our Team works 40 hours per week during core business hours, which are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.
• Must have consistent and reliable transportation to work.
• Complete a Python assessment designed by Moebius and successfully participate in two virtual technical interviews.
