We are seeking a North America Internal Communications Specialist to join our Oak Brook-based North American Communications and Media Relations Team. This person will be responsible for all internal communications across the region, ensuring that global messaging is effectively transmitted at the regional level, and developing region-appropriate communications. They will report to the North America Communications and Media Relations Team Manager.









Responsibilities






  • Ensure effective rollout/adaptation of global internal communications initiatives for North America.
  • Develop and implement North America-specific internal communications plans initiatives, including the development of messaging and associated assets such as audio-visual materials, newsletters, etc.
  • Support global internal communications initiatives as required.
  • Collaborate with regional colleagues across operating segments and central functions to develop news, stories, and other activities/channels that stimulate employee engagement.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely information sharing.
  • Collaborate with Digital Communications colleagues to ensure that the North America sections of the Intranet are fit for purpose.
  • Develop and write content for multiple internal communications platforms.
  • Prepare research and briefing materials, including presentations.
  • Create multimedia content for campaigns.
  • Support regional employee events, including Town Halls.
  • Track and manage ongoing projects.
  • Handle day-to-day administrative tasks.
  • Support vendor management.

This position pays: $78,375 – $104,500 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)









Qualifications






  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Humanities, Business, Social Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of six (6+) years of experience in communications, writing, marketing, media relations, or a directly related field (in-house or communications consultancy).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to develop and translate ideas into compelling stories.
  • Solid understanding of social and traditional media channels.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) and ability to learn new software and databases quickly.
