The Department of Computer Science at New York Institute of Technology is looking for an Adjunct Faculty to teach online asynchronous graduate Data Science courses. Courses will be offered starting Fall 2024.
Candidates should have a M.S or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, or Electrical Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related area.
Teaching experience or industrial experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, programming languages LISP, PROLOG and object-oriented programming and related Lab applications are preferred.
Teaching experience and/or industrial experience in in all areas of Data Science will be considered. An emphasis will be placed on candidates whose experience and expertise complement and extend the strengths of our faculty. Undergraduate teaching experience in core topics in Data Science such as programming, data mining, data visualization, Parallel and Distributed Computing, Machine Learning, Big Data Engineering and, Probability and Statistics will be considered an asset. Experience from emerging and interdisciplinary areas in Data Science will also be considered. In addition, candidates should possess excellent English language skills, demonstrating an ability to ensure strong, two-way communications and the development of collaborative, collegial relationships
