Position Description






If you desire an opportunity to help the Navy and Marine Corps, Serco has a great opportunity for you! As a HM&E Technical Support Analyst, you will be on a team that is evaluating and managing the delivery of a new class of amphibious ship for the United States Navy and Marine Corps.

 

This role is contingent on your ability to obtain, maintain, and transfer your Secret clearance post employment.

 

Our team is led by a Program Manager having decades of experience working in the DoD and Shipbuilding Industry. Our Naval Acquisition and Sustainment Operation provides critical services to nearly all U.S. Navy amphibious ships and craft. Serco supports the U.S. Navy as a prime contractor providing amphibious warfare and expeditionary professional support services. You will work closely with Government and industry professionals as well as shipbuilders and other support personnel. In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for providing technical support for requirements development, concept development, engineering, integration and test, and performance analysis as tasked by Technical Division stakeholders.
  • Support senior technical personnel and project managers within the organization in various technical activities related to system and technical product development, including:
    • Addressing technical questions and concerns, especially from an overall system integration perspective
    • Attending working group meetings
    • Reviewing system diagrams
    • Supporting GFE manager with technical system concerns
    • Developing white papers and briefing materials
  • Provide technical guidance and review of Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDRs) as well as Test & Evaluation of components and systems.
  • Duties include the collection of information and data, performance of various tests, engineering computations, and measurements and analyses.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

In compliance with local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $73,214.46 to $122,024.01; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.









Qualifications






To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus a minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant experience with HM&E systems, addressing engineering questions, and reviewing HM&E system diagrams. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 6 years of relevant work experience. Work experience may be adjusted based on education, or highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.
  • You must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD clearance post employment.
  • Effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Prior experience working with a shipyard, or in the Navy marine shipbuilding industry.
