SEA 04 Senior Data Analytics Engineer

We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced candidate to serve as Senior Data Analytics Engineer supporting the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Industrial Operations Directorate (SEA 04).  

This position is contingent upon your ability to transfer or obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance post-employment.

In this role you will:

• Gather and analyze technical information from various sources and create EXCEL/ SQL queries to retrieve specific information and parameters from database(s).
• Analyze, interpret and draw conclusions from data, and identify problems, solutions and opportunities using the analysis.
• Create and deliver graphical representations to best display information and convey concepts, to include but not limited to compelling interactive briefings, reports, and dashboards via Microsoft Teams (Flank Speed) or a NMCI approved, compatible platform. 
• Interpret and analyze data, behaviors and processes, trends and situations and recommended solutions.
• Understands and articulates root causes. Ensures analytics are usable, actionable, and valuable for today and predictive of the future.
• Define Key Performance Indices (KPIs) and metrics for measuring success. Tracks metrics to target vs goal, tying back derived data insights to big picture strategy.
• Fix or remove incorrect, corrupt, incorrectly formatted, duplicate, or incomplete data within a dataset.

In compliance with local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $131,293.17 to $227,532.46; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Scientific discipline plus 12+ years of experience in an engineering or scientific discipline. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for 15 years of relevant work experience. Work experience may be adjusted based on education, or highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.
• A current DoD security clearance or able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance post-employment. 
• United States (U.S.) citizenship.
• Experience creating presentations, Intermediate level experience with PowerPoint and Excel.
• Position requires U-NNPI Access.

Knowledge, ability and skills: 

• Master's Degree Preferred. 
• Ability to lead and manage teams.
