Job Summary:
As the Senior Data Analytics Manager at WaFd Bank, you will lead and mentor a dedicated team responsible for delivering data and analytical insights that inform and shape the bank’s business decisions and strategies. Reporting directly to the Chief Data Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the leadership of the data department, developing and executing strategies that align with organizational goals while acting as a bridge between your team and the broader business.
Your leadership will drive the expansion of WaFd’s data literacy by championing the power of data, high-quality analytics, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement. This role demands a hands-on approach, as you will guide your team and actively participate in building data models and analytics. Collaboration is key in this role, requiring you to work closely with various departments to ensure data initiatives are aligned with business objectives. Experience in fintech or a financial institution is a significant advantage.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Education/Skills/Training:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in computer science, data science, software engineering, information systems, related quantitative field, or equivalent experience and/or training. A minimum of 6 years of experience in database development, maintenance and application interface or equivalent demonstrated performance and expertise. A minimum of 2 years in a managerial role leading technical teams.
